Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about Jamsta accounts, live jams, and privacy.
-
What is Jamsta?
Jamsta is a social network for musicians. You can share posts, connect with friends, and collaborate in live jam sessions with video, audio, chat, and screen sharing.
-
How do I start a live jam?
Sign in, open Go Live, and create a jam room. Share the invite link with friends so they can join from their browser. The host can admit participants and manage the session.
-
Do I need to install an app?
No. Jamsta live jams run in a modern web browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari). Allow camera and microphone access when prompted.
-
Can jam sessions be recorded?
Yes. The host may record a jam. Participants are notified when recording starts. Only join or stay in a recorded jam if you accept that the session may be recorded and shared by the host.
-
How many people can join a jam?
Jamsta supports multi-person jams. For the best quality, smaller sessions (a few participants) work best on typical home internet connections.
-
Can I change my virtual background?
Yes. During a jam, open Backgrounds to blur your background, choose a preset scene, or upload your own image.
-
How do I invite friends?
Use the Invite button in the jam toolbar to copy the meeting link or send invites to friends on Jamsta via messages.
-
I forgot my password. What should I do?
On the login page, use the forgot password option and follow the email instructions to reset your account password.
-
How do you handle my data?
Please read our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for full details on how Jamsta collects and uses information.
-
How can I contact support?
